Position Summary Information

Position Summary

Slippery Rock University, located in Slippery Rock, PA, invites applications for a full-time, 9 month faculty position and 3 month summer contract in our developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program. Responsibilities include instruction and student advisement in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program, service and scholarship. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching in area(s) of expertise as well as be effective in instructing students in physical and psychosocial disability, Occupational Therapy theory and introductory courses. This position reports to the OTD Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral Degree from an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body required along with initial certification by NBCOT and eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of Pennsylvania. Minimum of three years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist. Successful performance in an on-campus interview and teaching demonstration. Commitment to the education of diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education and clinical experience with children and youth preferred.
