Position Summary Information

Position Summary

The SRU Art Department is seeking a full-time instructor for the spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year to teach Graphic Design and courses in other studio areas as assigned. Responsibilities include teaching and organization/management of three studio courses.

Minimum Qualifications

MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Graphic Design or equivalent degree in related field required. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and the ability to teach such programs in an Art context required. Successful performance in an interview and teaching demonstration. Commitment to the education of diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Graphic Design experience and prior college teaching experience preferred.

Ability to teach other courses, such as introductory Drawing, are a plus.
